Hamilton 14 karat yellow gold Sherwood rectangular gents wristwatch. 19 jewel grade 982 with a serial number of J1007 that makes this the seventh grade 982 produced. The silver dial with 18 karat gold applied numerals had been professionally refinished and is protected with a new old stock glass crystal. Another unusual aspect of this watch is that is was probably retailed by Mermod Jaccard and Company in St. Louis because included with the watch is a patented perspiration protector in 14 karat gold that was patented and assigned to this company in 1934.
